Hi, I’m Rebecca…the Wizzard of Oz here and this is my story.

For those of you who care…
(I personally always find this part a little strange), but they tell me that others “connect” with things like this so…here we go, let’s “connect”:

I can’t live without:
Jesus,
a good pair of jeans,
and laughing…the kind that makes your face hurt.

My perfect day:
Waking up to time with Jesus and a good cup of coffee, a day spent by the ocean with cheez-its, red M&M’s, and ending with chips, salsa, and the perfect diet coke (cuz…iykyk), with a margarita, on the rocks, of course…

…and that boy, who can make me laugh like I’m ten and blush like I’m 16…and makes all the above even better.

Oh, and this picture…this is totally me… Super sassy.

I am originally from the holy land of golf, Augusta, Georgia…where azaleas rule the world, the dawgs are loved by all, where I learned the art of southern hospitality at its finest, and most importantly about a “tradition unlike any other”.

(If you don’t know what this is in reference to, ask your fiancee (or dad) cuz if he’s a golfer, he’ll know and might even raise your budget if I promise to include a blade of grass.)

aka the story

the beginning

the name

It was in Augusta that I had my first experience with the bridal industry, a little over 20 years ago. The store was new and they were hiring. I decided it would be

a good fit and something that might be interesting, however, I was told that I “did NOT have the personality to work in bridal”.

I was welcomed into this industry at the Say yes to the Dress mecca of the South, Bridals by Lori. From there, I represented several couture bridal designers and after a little push from friends, I launched Big Rock Bridal.

Well, it came over pizza and drinks one night with my best friend thinking about how I could relay the name to a bride so that she would remember it without a card, even in a loud place…you know, like a bar. I thought, all brides want big rocks (so I could point to my ring finger) and bridal is an obvious term so there it was.

The business began with about ten garters, and that little garter business would grow to include veils, dresses, etc., and evolve into walking down the aisle with 10,000 plus brides. And it would be an adventure that would become one of the greatest honors of my life, my personal love story.

NYC ERA

MEMPHIS ERA

TEXAS ERA

present ERA

Y’all Living in NYC is not for the faint of heart, and it’s definitely not like sex in the city portrayed it. But, for almost a decade I called it home and it was a dream come true…a dream I never knew I had. I learned about the art of true luxury…the kind of luxury that isn’t necessarily about spending the most money but about having what no one else has.

Walking in Memphis (literally) is where I learned how to pull heart and soul into the mix. At Graceland, you really feel love for the things Elvis Loved and see his heart played out, not only in his music but in everything he surrounded himself with…and that became my goal. When you live in Memphis, you learn what “loving tender” really means, by God first and then by Elvis.

Well, I heard it was hot in Texas but hot doesn’t even begin to describe the Texas summers. Texas reminded me that every business needs a little spice and it was there I learned what being born in the USA really means (cuz texas is all about America)…and what that meant in business too..

Fast forward and we’re back in the Peach State. That dress shop is still in business… and it turns out they were wrong about me. And after all of these eras and layers of learning later, BRB 2.0 is here. Refined. Reimagined. But, still having fun.

so, enough about me…just know I can’t wait to learn more about

you.
